What is heat pump?

Heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners for all climates. Like your refrigerator, heat pumps use electricity to transfer heat from a cool space to a warm space, making the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer. During the heating season, heat pumps move heat from the cool outdoors into your warm house.  During the cooling season, heat pumps move heat from your house into the  outdoors. Because they transfer heat rather than generate heat, heat pumps can efficiently provide comfortable temperatures for your home. 

When we want to make a heat pump, we need to know some design requirements:

Modern residential heat pump system designs often require:

●Highly efficient, reliable, compact and low external machine interface (EMI) power supply and power factor correction (PFC) solutions.

●Accurate and robust carbon monoxide sensing and electric leakage monitoring.

●High efficiency and powerful motor control with enhanced protection.

●Secure, robust and low-power wireless connectivity.

Input power protection

Protection for main power supply, including current protection, EMI protection and necessary circuit protection. Input power protection include General-purpose op amps and Audio op amps. Their corresponding models are TSV912LM2904BLM358BOPA1654

Isolated AC/DC power supply

Off-line switch mode power supply solutions with multiple output rails (isolated and non-isolated) optimized for cost, efficiency, space and low EMI. Power protection & gating

Highly integrated, small form factor, and fully protected solutions provide full safety for different low power voltage rails as well as gating solutions for lowest standby power. Non-isolated DC/DC power supply

Cost effective, high efficiency and small form factor DC/DC solutions with excellent EMI performance.
